From Israel To The Global Food Shortage, It Is Astonishing How Accurate The Lord’s Predictions Are

If you’re trying to understand what is going on in the world today or trying to understand what is going to happen in the future, the Lord is the one to ask.

And I don’t just mean by praying.  The scripture spells out so many things about what will be happening as the return of the Lord approaches.

The oldest book in the world has more insight than all of the wisdom of the world.

It is truly amazing how the bible has come alive in the last decade as numerous prophecies have come into focus.

From Daniel to Revelations, the number of prophecies related to the return of Christ are unfolding in the headlines around the world.

Because of this, studying the scriptures in this age is perhaps more fascinating than any other.  To watch the Lord unfold history, just as predicted thousands of years ago, is to witness His glory, His brilliance and His sovereignty.

And to see the world so surprised by these things is also amazing, because the Lord wrote the entire story down for everyone to read, yet the Kings of the world are completely bewildered by what is going on around the world and in their own nation.

At the same time, many are completely ignorant of what the Lord is doing.  They are doing what people do, getting married, eating, playing and completely ignoring what the Lord is doing, just as predicted in Luke 17:26-29.

““Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

“It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.”

The rebirth of the nation of Israel in the last days is nicely spelled out in Ezekiel 36-38. In 1948 the nation of Israel was re-born and since then has become the most troublesome place in the world.

One by one, each nation has turned against Israel, just as the Lord predicted. America who has stood with Israel since the beginning in now re-considering its options.  I'm not sure how much longer America will hold its ground. Revelations tells us that the fight of Jerusalem will rage until Christ returns, and he will return to setup his kingdom in the city of Jerusalem.

A long time ago, Jesus rode a donkey into the city of Jerusalem as its King. He is coming back to take up his Kingdom. Knowing this, Satan is going to try to setup his kingdom in the city of Jerusalem in an attempt to steal the Lord's throne and be worshipped as if he was the Lord.

Global Food Shortage

The book of Daniel talks about a global economic crisis that will bring the anti-Christ to power. The book of Matthew talks about how there will be famines and how they will increase like birth pains, which come and go with greater intensity each time.

Two years ago the world supply of corn was at a record low of 60 days. Since then it increased and the price of corn dropped some, but the drought this summer has taken the world supply of corn to a new record low of 52 days.  Corn prices are now back up to record levels, which millions cannot afford.  This is just as Jesus said in Matthew 24.

The Lord knows the future. He knows who will be the next President, and he knows what will happen to our nation, our cities and our families.

He knows our name and what we have done, and he wants everyone to turn to Him and repent and be saved. He is the Lord. - Isaiah 45:22

The events of the world are not a mystery, in fact, they are unfolding just as the Lord said they would.

Defending Inerrancy: Affirming the Accuracy of Scripture for a New Generation

The doctrine of inerrancy has been standard, accepted teaching for more than 1,000 years, until recently it has come under fire. Apologist and bestselling author Norman L. Geisler present a defense of the traditional understanding of inerrancy for a new generation of Christians who are being assaulted with challenges to the nature of God, truth, and language. This book explained the accuracy and divine nature of the bible.

The Goodness of God: Assurance of Purpose in the Midst of Suffering

This book is a glimpse of God’s loving ways and higher purposes – which we are sometimes blind to when batting pain and anguish. The author avoids superficial or sentimental responses, and instead presses forward boldly to explore all the troubling doubts and questions that agitate within us when we confront suffering and evil. The issues are far from simple, the answers far from easy—but Alcorn shows how the way of suffering—a path that Jesus himself followed more than anyone else—can ultimately become a journey into wholeness and even logic-defying joy.

Counterfeit Gods: The Empty Promises of Money, Sex, and Power, and the Only Hope that Matters

In Counterfeit Gods he tells of Abraham and Isaac, Jacob and Esau, Jonah and Zacchaeus. Each one of these characters and the stories of their lives are used to teach the reader about the prevalence of idolatry in the Bible and in the human heart. "The human heart takes good things like a successful career, love, material possessions, even family, and turns them into ultimate things. Our hearts deify them as the center of our lives, because, we think, they can give us significance and security, safety and fulfillment, if we attain them." An idol is; "anything more important to you than God, anything that absorbs your heart and imagination more than God, anything you seek to give you what only God can give."

One God, One Truth: The Clear and Simple Evidence

It gives definitive and accurate data on why the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the one true God of the Universe. Not only does it give evidence on the accuracy of the Bible but it gives proof of the errors in other religions in a sensitive and loving manner. It is not a book focused on putting down people of other faiths but rather a loving approach to help others recognize the one true God. I highly recommend this book to every Christian who has people in their life that they want to impact with the truth.
