Darkness presents itself as something adventurous and liberating from God's rules as if we could be having more fun without them. Like everyone, I have believed some of these lies and have comes to regret it.
Darkness is losing every day because it is being exposed for what is really is, lies that result in destroyed lives. If you are sick of being sick and watching your family being destroyed, then get away from the darkness. If you want to live, turn to Christ because he is the way, the truth and the life.
There is a passage that says those who hate Christ, love death (Proverbs 8:36).
After years of study and observing the pain that darkness brings, I now understand this verse. If you reject Christ your life on earth will be empty and his wrath remains on you because the "wages of sin is death". The only way that anyone could make this decision while understanding the consequences is if they loved death.
Life is worth living because Christ made a way for us to be saved from eternal death by believing in him. Death was brought into the world by sin (Romans 5:12) and it is an enemy of God, but even its power has been crushed by the blood of Christ.
If you want to taste living water, rather than the poison that darkness contains, then make the choice today and get away from the darkness – it’s gonna save your life. If you surrender to Christ, you will live - both in this life and the next.
