The More We Look The More We Find Him At Work Among Us

This article is our one-hundredth article this year on Delight Media and we have just begun to tell the storied of the lives changed by Christ in Central MN.

Praise the Lord as we celebrate what the Lord is doing in Central MN, each and every day, He is actively participating in the lives of His people just as He said He would. (Psalm 37:5-6)

We compel you to read along as we tell stories of real people that are experiencing the rewards of the Lord, showing again and again that the Word of God is true and always results in blessings. (Psalm 112:1)

In some ways it feels like we have come a long way. But it also feels like we have been silent for far too long, as evident by the growing number of people that tell us about the great things God is doing which far exceed our ability to share their stories.

The Lord is at work in Central MN, and He is doing great and mighty things.

There are so many people with so many stories and so many ministries teaching and helping so many people, we know we have missed a lot of them and cannot wait to increase our coverage next year.

We are overjoyed to serve the community in this way, testifying about His goodness to increase the faith of the faithful, which is worth more than gold (1 Peter 1:7).

The measure of our success cannot be measured against things on earth, because our treasure is not of the world. (John 18:36) If you do not understand what I am saying that is ok, but know this – you could be part of something much bigger - if you realized who Christ is, what he has done for you and the adventure he has waiting for you. (Jeremiah 29:13)

And I’m not talking about a fictional spiritual adventure, like Harry Potter, but a real life adventure in which real people depend on your courage. (Proverbs 29:18) If you think Christianity is boring, you don’t know the God of heaven.

This Year

At the beginning of the year we had only a few readers, but by the end of the year we have nearly one-thousand unique monthly readers.

It has been an amazing year in which I have seen God do amazing things. This year we added five contributing writers, all with different writing backgrounds and community connections.

We also added several features to the website, like Facebook and Twitter links, Top Trending Article, Popular Books, Online Ads, periodic comics from ReverendFun.com, World headlines and even a page for popular Music Videos.

Next Year

Knowing what God did this year makes it difficult to guess what He is planning to do with us next year. But I will give it a try.

Next year, we will likely more than double everything we did this year.   We acknowledge that we are completely dependent on Him, the challenges He presents us with and the solutions He provides for us.  We will remain in constant communication with Him (prayer) as He directs our path.

A few years ago, I learned an important lesson that I’m still trying to grasp. Prayer is the most effective change agent given to mankind. Change for the better only comes from one place, prayer. This is true because God is sovereign, He listens to His people and He takes action when they ask Him to. (Matt 7:7)

Because of this I know that someone other than myself is praying for Central MN. Every move of God is preceded by prayer. So if you enjoy reading our articles and want to see us cover even more stories next year, take a moment each day and ask God to intervene in your life and ours.

Why You Can’t Stay Silent: A Biblical Mandate to Shape Our Culture

Tom Minnery believes that Christians not only have a mandate to proclaim the gospel, but to see it exemplified in society as well. He believes that we are not really forced with choosing one or the other: either evangelize or do social reform. He says we can and should do both simultaneously. He refutes arguments that Christians shouldn't get involved in "the world" and that the church's primary responsibility is evangelism rather than social activism. The author emphasizes that for too long the church has remained silent regarding the moral decay surrounding it.

Mind Siege: The Battle for Truth in the New Millennium

What is the root of this evil future scenario? "Secular Humanism," according to the authors. Unfortunately, the mainline churches have eaten, swallowed and disgusted tons of humanistic dogma: evolution, socialism, Marxism, etc. It's got to stop. This books shows how we are losing our faith in the time it will be needed most.

The God Chasers

Do you want God? Not the history of His path but Him? If so then you might be a God Chaser according to the author. The God Chasers seeks to reach those who hunger for God's manifest presence and whose endurance to boldly pursue Him will lead to heartfelt revival.

Business for the Glory of God

When students ask, “How can I serve God with my life?” they don’t often hear the answer, “Go into business”. But that is exactly what this book says. Grudem says, “human desires to increase the production of goods and services are not in themselves greedy or materialistic or evil. Rather, such desires to be productive represent God-given desires to dominion over the earth as He created us to do.” Grudem also explains that significant temptations accompany all productions of goods and services, which we need to resist. This is not a ‘Health and Wealth’ gospel, but a biblical looks at the goodness of business.
