Titus 2:11-14

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. "

This verse tells us that our salvation in Jesus, teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled lives.

This is how to live in this age, while we are waiting to be united with Jesus Christ.

What makes it possible for us to resist sin in his age, is to study and learn about what Jesus did for us. The deeper the understanding we have about his life, the better we are.

His life story explains the love of God, which is the most powerful force in the universe and is more than capable of transforming us to be eager to do what is good.

Unlike the lie taught today, this verse tells us that it is possible to live a moral life and we don't have to act out our natural desire to sin.

Understanding what Jesus did for us is the key.

Proverbs 4:13 says: "Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life."

Our instruction is our life.
