Isaiah 44:6

7/12/2018

"This is what the LORD says— Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. "

In this verse is the Lord tells us that he alone in God and their is no other.

The passsage goes on with;

"Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet to come— yes, let them foretell what will come. Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one."

The Lord says if there was another God, let him tell about what the Lord has created and what will happen in the future.

History has unfolded just as the Lord foretold it long ago and the people were witnesses to these things, proving that there is no God besides the Lord.

This passage goes on to show how stuppid people were when they created idols of metal and wood as if they were gods, when everything in their history proved that the Lord was the only God.
