John 10:30

"I and the Father are one."

This verse is Jesus declaring that He is God. This is one of many times that Jesus claimed to be divine.

In the beginning of the book of John, we are told that Jesus was with God from the beginning of creation, which only God could have been.

John 13:3 tells us that Jesus knew he had come from God and was returning to God.

"Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God;" - John 13:3

John 3:13 tell us that Jesus went back to heaven after His resurrection and that no other man has ascended but that one that descended - the Son of Man.

The name "Son of Man" refers to the Old Testament in which Daniel 7 tells us the "Son of Man" is the one with a never ending kingdom, which could only be God.

Men are not from heaven, because we are not God. Only God is from heaven, as scripture tells us that Jesus was the only one that could ascend to heaven after descending from heaven, because He was from heaven.

This verse tells us that man will never be God. The religion of secular humanism, which is gaining popularity around the world under the false idea that it is not a religion but a neutral concept, declares that we don't need God because we are our own gods.

This verse tell us that this idea is complete foolishness because we are not from heaven and therefore will never be God.
