Lesbian Senator Tammy Baldwin says religious liberty should no longer apply to individuals

  7/10/2015

Baldwin made her remarks on the June 27 broadcast of Up With Steve Kornacki on MSNBC. In an article on America Thinker, Daniel John Sobieski pointed out what Sen. Tammy is suggesting.

“Baldwin misreads the Constitution with its mandate saying Congress shall pass no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.  It is a key phrase in the First Amendment, leading off the Bill of Rights.  These are individual rights fought for in the American Revolution.  These rights are not limited to institutions; they apply to all individuals, just as the Supreme Court has decided the Second Amendment applies to individuals and not just to state-ordained militias.“

If marriage can be redefined with an unconstitutional ruling, as the dissenting judges confirmed, why not toss out the entire Bill of Rights?

Now that the US Constitution has been overruled by the US Supreme Court, what is stopping the courts and lawmakers from creating laws against the freedoms that the Constitution protects?

If the US Supreme Court does not follow the law, who should?

If we follow the logic of the US Supreme Court it leads to an entire new nation - without the US Constitution.
